What is ISO 22000?
The ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System is the most widely accepted food safety management system and covers the entire food supply chain starting from primary producers to manufacturers up to storage, distribution and retail. The ISO 22000 scheme incorporates elements of existing standards including ISO 9001, PRPs, and HACCP. How to get ISO 22000 certified?
Cotecna can provide clients with an accredited certification against the ISO 22000 standard. Clients and customers willing to undergo certification needs to complete the application and contract agreement process following which initial or re-certification audits will be carried out. Once the certificate is issued (with a 3 year validity), further surveillance audits will have to be carried out at pre-defined frequencies to maintain the validity of the certificate.
